NARS Cheek Palette Soulshine Review

I have worshiped at the altar of NARS’ “Orgasm” for a long time.  I was ready for a change, so when NARS released some limited edition blush palettes, I decided I would invest in one.  Boy, am I happy I did!

I must admit, the logo mosaic in the palette is what drew me to it.  I ordered mine fromSephora.

This palette was available in another color, “Realm of the Senses”.  I felt that one would be too light for me, so I opted for “Soulshine” ($41.00).  It is a combination of a peachy pink, apricot, and rose, with a gold shimmer.  The gold is what makes up the “letters”.  It is very shimmery, so if you aren’t a fan of shimmer blushes, definitely stay away from this collection!  I happen to like shimmer blushes.  I think matte blushes make me look one-dimensional, and I end up using a highlighter anyways.  This covers all bases!

Initially, I was afraid the color combo was too light and wouldn’t show up on my olive complexion.  Was I pleasantly surprised!  It gave me a healthy glow along with a flush of color.  I think it would be universally flattering to all complexions, much like “Orgasm”.

This was a great addition to my makeup collection.  I think I will be reaching for this blush many times!  And it is so pretty to look at.

Thanks for reading!  kxoxo

Oh that looks so pretty! Even the packaging is gorgeous. I haven’t tried any NARS products but in dying to, just have to find who stocks them in Oz

    hey…
This post is great, love Nars blushes! I found your blog via blogtrends critique week chat. Here is my 2 cents: Love the general layout of your blog would consider moving the subscribe by email higher in your sidebar so that visitors can see it, may also want to consider doing full posts that people can flip through rather than exercepts.

Thanks Jamie! I was actually working on my sidebar content today, and will definitely move the sub box. Also, I am not going to do the “read more” anymore. I just like the way it makes my blog look streamlined. However, if affecting my bounce rate. Will have a look at yours. THANK YOU again.

What type of blush do you recommend for someone like me who can’t stomach spending $40 on it and knows nothing about makeup? :)
